Have you noticed that things look a little bit different at the moment?

Due to COVID-19 we can’t operate as we would normally. Some things remain the same and some things have been restricted or put on hold until further notice.

As we closely monitor the situation, we will update this page.

Business as usual

You can still look 10/10 AND be comfortable in isolation! Plus, you’re helping to support Anglicare’s Community Services.

The Take Love merchandise is still available to purchase. Our team are ensuring a clean process from production to delivery. Some Australia Post deliveries may be delayed during this time. Please be gracious. Be patient. Good things come to those who wait.

Food Collections

Food Collections are still happening! In fact, we need food donations now more than ever. We want to make sure our Mobile Community Pantries can keep providing for the vulnerable in our communities. If your school or youth group can safely collect non-perishable food items, Anglicare is still able to come and collect those donations. We will adhere to all social distancing requirements when we do so.

Clothing Collections

Clothing Collections are currently on hold. Unfortunately, with the temporary closure of our Anglicare op shops, we have put a hold on clothing pickups.

If your school or youth group can safely collect clothing we are still able to pick up those donations and distribute them through our Anglicare Op Shops.

Current restrictions

Take Love Teams are currently on hold due to social distancing restrictions. The safety of our residents and clients is our topmost priority, so in order to love them we are restricting all volunteering and visitations to frontline work. However, we are scoping out other ways to enrich the lives of those we serve. If you have an idea of how you could take love, please shoot us a message!

The good news is – taking the love of Jesus to our friends, family and the community never stops. It may just look different in this season. Make sure you’re connecting with people, offering to help out at home and sending care packages in the mail. You could even set up your elderly neighbour on Zoom!
